Graduate Preparation Project
Mission: To offer a Masters of Education in Curriculum
Studies with emphasis in early childhood and special education.
Outcomes: Components
of the Graduate Preparation Project include the following:
This project provides:
1) competency-based course work designed to provide
advanced training in early childhood education, early childhood
special education, inclusion, and strategies for including young
children with low-incidence and severe disabilities
2) state-of-the-art distance education techniques,
intensive face-to-face practical experience, and focused field
experiences
3) compensation that includes full tuition/fees,
textbooks, a participation stipend, technology support,
and travel expenses for a week-long summer seminar
Project
Description: The GPP is a five year personnel
preparation project funded by the U.S. Department of Education,
Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Office
of Special Programs. It is a collaborative effort of The University
of Montana School of Education and Child Care plus+: The Center
on Inclusion in Early Childhood.
